What We Believe
We believe in a limited federal government, as set forth in the U.S. Constitution. We believe that each and every citizen of the United States has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, but that the attainment of these goals are the responsibility of the individual, and NOT the government.
We believe in freedom of religion. Every citizen has the right to worship according to their beliefs, so long as those beliefs do not include denying these rights to any other religion. We absolutely denounce violence for religious reasons. While we defend freedom of religion, We DO NOT believe that religion has no place in government; that separation of 'church and state' is NOT a principle of our constitution; not that certain symbols of belief should be banned from our public buildings, institutions or activities.
We believe in the sanctity of life at all ages. We support and defend the rights of the unborn.
We believe in the rights of citizens to keep and bear arms as set fourth in the Second Amendment, and that Congress shall not infringe upon that right.
We believe that taxation, and the monies raised as a result of that taxation, while necessary to the function of any government, are NOT to be used to fund activities that are not keeping with those set forth in the U.S. Constitution. Neither is it legal for the government to spend what it cannot reasonably expect to collect. The Kentucky Patriots believe in a 'fair', or simple tax. This tax would be determined according to purchases, much like a sales tax. Tax rates that are determined by the amount of the income or profit are detrimental to the economy in general.
We also believe that those not subject to our taxes, or who are not legal citizens, are not entitled to the privileges or benefits of citizenship.
